The new Q3 issue of The Manufacturer Magazine is out now.

In this issue, we look back at what was a festival of manufacturing at Smart Manufacturing & Engineering Week 2024 as we review the entire exhibition and feature several key interviews that took place in our TM Studio, situated on the show floor.

Our cover story features one such interview as we speak to Katie Paxton-Fear, Lecturer in Cyber Security, The Manchester Metropolitan University, about how new AI capabilities can improve security and vulnerabilities that occur in AI systems.

Also, we pay a visit to Britvic plc’s Rugby facility, where the soft drinks manufacturer has embarked on a long-term investment and growth strategy. Molly Cooper gets trackside and finds out how AI is impacting the world of F1 during a visit to the Italian Grand Prix. And Tom St John interviews Richard Noble OBE, the man behind the Thrust world water speed record attempt, to discuss the history behind the record and the legacy this project wants to leave for the next generation.
